Garden Hill

Garden Hill offer the view of Sham Shui Po cityscape with the high-rise pastel buildings and red taxi as the signature shot. One of the most popular Hong Kong Trail. Easy as it get like walking up the building with no elevator but offer the scenic view that will ease your mind. Garden Hill is best for both day and night hike, the view here is lovely!

How To Visit Garden Hill

Take MTR Tsuen Wan (Red) Line to Sham Shui Po – Exit D2 and walk through Kweilin Road and enter YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel on Berwick street (next to No Milkshake No Life) to start the hike

Red Incense Burner Summit

Get a little closer where two-side of Hong Kong meets, the ocean that tears the city apart. Climb up to Red Incense Burner Summit that located on Braemar Hill. It’s supposed to be a short and easy hike (if you don’t get lost) as there are other viewpoints on the hill that will make you confuse. Grab a drink and soaking in the view of both Hong Kong and Kowloon Island!

 

How To Visit Red Incense Burner Summit

Take MTR Tsuen Wan (Red) Line to Central – Exit B and take the bus No.25 or Take MTR Island (Blue) Line to Tin Hau – Exit A, then take minibus 49M – to Braemar Hill and stop at Braemar Hill Bus Terminal. Walking towards St.Joan of Arc Secondary School till the end of the road, take the entrance via narrow fence next to the closed gate on the left

Cape D’Aguilar

Cape D’Aguilar is the one and only marine reserve on the island. Explore a unique rocks formation, cave, cliffs and one of the oldest lighthouse. This Hong Kong trail offer a leisure flat walk from where the bus drop you at the starting point. Swimming and diving is prohibited – So, grab some snacks, take a bite while listening to the intense waves hit the shore


From Cape D’Aguilar, you can take the bus No.9 to the end of the line to reach Shek O Beach (one of the most popular beach in Hong Kong)

Dragon’s Back to Big Wave Bay

Dragon’s Back has been one of the popular hike in Hong Kong, one of the scenic view overlook the wide ocean free, Shek O beach and the Golf course. Enjoy spectacular view when you reach the summit, carefully walking through the steep cliff, find a nice firm spot and let the beautiful moment sink in

Continue on the path and you will end up at Big Wave Bay – Prepare the swimsuit and jump into the water after a long hike, the beach also perfect for surfing

 

How To Visit Dragon’s Back

 Take MTR Island (Blue) Line to Shau Kei Wan – Exit A3
• Then take the bus No.9 (to Shek O) stop at To Tei Wan

Brick Hill

Brick Hill is one of the Hong Kong trail that offer a diverse viewpoints as you trekking through the path. The view overlook Repulse bay, Deep water bay, Lamma Island and Ap Lei Chau

Walking through the steps to the Signal Station, where you will see the Ocean Park on the edge of the cliff. Enjoy the magical moment when the sun start to go down behind Aberdeen Channel!

Take MTR South Island (Light Green) Line to Wong Chuk Hang – Exit B and walk up to Nam Long Road through Singapore International School, turn left to Nam Long Shan Road that will lead to Brick Hill Pavilion

Lamma Island

Who would have thought that Lamma Island hike route will give the most impressive scenic view of among all my Hong Kong trail. Especially when you took the path from Son Kwu Wan circular (also one of the most loved route for cycling) via Ling Kok Shan

The summit overlook the whole Lamma, Lantau and part of South Hong Kong Island. It is unreal, the climb from steep stairs, hot sun burn and rainfall was all well worth it

Devil's Peak

  • Safety First! – Beware of the unstable platform, climb, cliffs

  • Start hiking early in the morning or late in the afternoon
