4. Lung Pud Pa Peng Coffee

One of a well-known cafe located by the small river. The place was absolute chill, decorated in Lanna style, full of plants and flowers. Time goes slow around here

Soaking in the beautiful Mountain View, famously known among locals. Especially if you spent a night in Mae Kampong Village, hop on the transfer service and enjoy the sunrise over that mountain range. There is no better way to start your day than this


6. San Kampang Hot Springs

A various options of hot springs from foot soaking, mineral swimming pool and bath. There are 2 main hot springs (น้ำพุร้อนสันกำแพง)shooting burst of hot water in the height of around 20m, the water is very hot that can boil the egg

 


We stayed at the homestay there, provided with the bathtub that had direct pipeline from the hot springs. Soothing with a warm mineral water was a nice unwind. There is also a trekking route – San Kamphaeng Hot Springs Ridge Trail 10.8km

7. Mae On Reservoir

8. Huai Lan Reservoir

A beautiful layers of mountain in the background and was so satisfy to watch. Locals came here for fishing during the day, watching sunset in the evening. The place (อ่างเก็บน้ำห้วยลาน) was absolute chill and has been one of the famous places for camping in Chiang Mai

9. ChamCha Market

A rustic and warm atmosphere surrounded by green shade of big trees. The market filled with homemade products, clothes, necklace, bracelet, live music and good coffee

People here were so friendly, we’re having fun walking around and buy matching stuffs while listening to the sellers told us story how they made the goods was so inspiring

10. MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum

An creative transformation from a warehouse, a wide space had been well-decorated with lightings and separated space to showcase selected artworks and held the exhibitions from the artists around the globe


The exhibition in MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum (พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะร่วมสมัยใหม่เอี่ยม) that had been presented at that time was ‘Cold War: the mysterious’ exhibition by Thasnai Sethaseree over the past year. Remarkable and inspiring story!

Claai Cafe’& Eatery (อุตสาชงที่บ้าน) is a cafe located on the foot of the hill offer a chill vibes by the waterway. Coffee and cake were really nice too

12. Stay in a Treehouse

We stayed at Lan-Na-Wild that located in the middle of the jungle in Mae On, Chiang Mai. The place is a little bit hard to reach, we had to park our car on the foot of a hill and use local transfer service as the mountain road full of high slope and sharp turns.. safety first right?


A treehouse.. we had to walk uphill to reach our room. The room and the view was absolutely worth the effort, fulfill our childhood dream to sleep in a treehouse. It was so cozy, clean and comfy. The restaurant and bar facing westside, allow us to enjoy last ray of sunlight while having dinner

How To Visit Mae On

We rented a car from Chiang Mai City to Mae On. As Chiang Mai is a tourist hub, the car rental can be found easily in town (noted that you should make booking in advance in a high season or national holidays). The car should cost around 1kTHB/day excluded gas

The road to Mae On and San Kamphaeng district is pretty much easy to drive along highway No.1006 and 1317. But please be careful on the small mountain road that consist of sharp turns

If you have insufficient driving experience on the mountain road, please consider to park the car at the village entrance and use transfer service
